El Questro station - 28th of June
We made a call between doing a tour of the Bungle Bungles, which would exclude Mama or out to El Questro which we could all do. A proud moment for me as a mum. We were all throwing up the pros and cons of the decision when Bells said "Well, whats the point of Mama being on holiday with us if she can't come somewhere special. Let's do El Questro". So the decision was made and the next day we were out waiting for the bus at 7:00am. Easy to do really as we are still on NT time so are waking up at 5:00am!
The Cockburn ranges.
First stop on our tour was Emma Gorge.....lovely quick hike up the creek bed.
Bells collecting fresh Emma creek water....purer then Mt Franklin water.

Emma Gorge.....
It was ffffffffreezing in Emma Gorge. So so very cold that your extremities hurt! Our ranger 'Josh' told us that there was a hot spring on the right edge of the gorge behind a rock....we thought he was joking until we saw someone disappear behind a rock. The hot spring was there and the three of us just fit. We didn't care....it was thawing our limbs. So bizarre to have a hot spring feeding into an icy cold gorge. It was just incredible.

| Toli most unimpressed that he fell with both feet into Emma Creek. |
Zeberdee Springs....

| Mama at Zeberdee Springs....most gorgeous yet! |

Chamberlain Gorge Cruise
Feeding the Archer fish at the end of the Gorge....cheeky mites spit water at you. This is in imitation of what they do in nature - spit at an insect on a branch to get it to fall in the water.
Phew....what a day! 7:00 am to 7:00pm....yet another incredible memory building day. Loved Zeberdee Springs....my favourite so far. It was a series of thermal water falls running down a shady mountain, under the shade of pandanus and palms. Quite an intimate series of pools but as it was only the four of us swimming in them it was perfect!

Spectacular guys!! Just what I imagined up north would be like!
