Yulara.....Uluru and Kata Tjuta

Ole chatty windbags didn't have much wind here!
We booked into the Ayers Rock Resort.....a very loose use of the word Resort here...but anywhere, here we are for the next couple of days.  Our base to explore Uluru (Ayers Rock) and Kata Tjuta (The Olgas). At the town centre (of the resort) was a spear throwing and didj show which we caught.  Toli and Nick jumped up front (well Nick was basically dragged actually) to have a crack at didj playing...

The womens alternative was an Emu dance....Toli insisted we get up and have our turn...so after much dragging Bells got me up to dance like an Emu in front of a crowd of people....the things you do when you're on holidays.
The endearing feature of our accommodation was the small walk up a ramp only a stones throw from our camp to a very memorable view.....there was silence as the sunset for the simple beauty of it all....

Check....it.....out.....

My Mumma and I....beers behind our backs :)

Cute shot...they look so little!

By the way...if anyone knows how to get the pics sitting alongside each other please let me know.....just can't figure it out?

  1. Sometimes I find it helps if you add extra spaces above or below your picture to stop them jumping around. Just drag and drop them next to each other. Press centre. You can choose picture size and can usually put two large portrait pics side by side. Loving all those red dusty sun filled photos. hope your mum is doing OK
