Ok...deep breath and begin. This is the first of many entries to record one of the most memorable journeys the three generations of my family will take.
The title of our blog "The Day My Mum Went Psycho" is taken from the much loved Andy Griffiths book and given to our trip by the kids. The two cheeky monkeys think its a little crazy what I have planned for our family but aren't complaining as they get a term off school!
Firstly let me introduce my family to you:

This blog is the first step in planning for our magic trip. Our initial thoughts are to fly and and out of Darwin to make the most of the few months of travel we have planned. From Darwin we would like to travel through Kakadu, Litchfield national park and other natural beauties surrounding. From there we will travel to the red centre and see whatever we are able to then travel back to Darwin......pretty loose plans at the moment.
Next step is to book the mode of transport........and talk to as many people as possible to glean their travel experience. Great times ahead!
